Spinner's Threading Hook (Orifice hook), Lampwork Glass: Caramel with Purple Leaves
A beautiful threading hook to hang on your spinning wheel. Made to thread yarn through the spinning wheel's flyer, but has many other uses too. You can use it to thread beads onto yarn, or to pull yarn through a piece of knitted fabric, anywhere where a piece of yarn, thread or string needs to be pulled through something with a hole in it - I'm sure you'll come up with uses I never thought of!
This is entirely handmade by Wildcraft. The glass handle was made on a lampwork torch, which was then kiln annealed for strength and stability. The threading loop is formed from fine plastic-coated jewellers' wire, which is strong and very flexible.
Attached to a ribbon loop so you can hang it close to hang on your spinning wheel.
The loop part of the tool is approximately 7cm long. Will fit most spinning wheel flyers, but tested specifically on Majacraft's fine flyer, Ashford's standard flyer, Louet Victoria, Timbertops Leicester, and a teeny tiny antique flax wheel,
