Spin-In Event, Saturday 15th August: Use of Dye Workshop

This year we're not running formal workshops.  Instead, I invite you to come and use my stuff!  On Saturday we'll set up all the equipment you'd need to dye wool top (using a dye painting/steaming method).  A full spectrum of acid dyes will be available.  We'll steam set anything you produce, and a tutor (i.e. me - Karen Tesson), will be on hand to lend advice and/or teaching if you need it.

Undyed fibre  and Yarns are available here in the shop, please do buy them ahead of time as we'll have limited stocks available on the day.  Please let me know if the fibre you're buying is for the Spin-In, as I'll refund your postage and keep it for you here until the day.  If you can't see the particular fibre you'd like to use, do contact me as I may be able to get it for you.

Do feel free to bring along any of your own fibre and/or yarns that you'd like to dye. Ideally they'd need to be pre-soaked overnight  (soaking solutions will be provided on Friday), but if you forget or can't be here on the Friday, a morning's soak should be sufficient to dye the fibre in the afternoon.
