A Russian-style support spindle. This spindle has been handmade by Dorset wood artist, Gerthe Tesson-Spreij. It's made from macrocarpa (cypress) wood, which was grown locally and milled on our own farm here in Dorset. The spindle has been finished with an acrylic polish, and has been test spun to ensure it has good balance. The tip is finished with a steel point for durability. Signed by the maker.
