Lightweight Resin Drop Spindle - Candy Stripes

A hand turned lightweight resin top-whorl spindle with a beautiful whorl in a striped design of pink, mint-green and blue opaque stripes, over a transparent (and slightly shimmery) topaz brown.  The whorl is in our new lathe-turned style, which is light and perfectly balanced, making the spindle ideal for spinning fine yarns.  The spindle has an ash wood shaft.  The whorl is notched to the back of the hook. Total weight is 21g.  

The handmade hook is in a swan-neck style, made from strong steel, which balances the yarn properly above the centre of the spindle. The shaft is 23cm long. Has been test spun to ensure it has good balance.

This spindle is supplied with a robust custom-made shipping container, which also acts as a handy carrying case for later. The resin used for the whorl contains a UV protectant, however for longest life without yellowing, we recommend that you store your spindle away from direct sunlight. Whorl diameter is approx 4.5cm. Shaft length is approx 23cm.
