Handmade Resin Beads - Lichen

Sold Out

A set of three handmade epoxy resin beads with real lichen (latin name Evernia prunastri) inside.  The lichen fell from oak trees on our farm in Dorset, England and was gathered from the ground.  We never pick lichen from where it's growing on the trees, it takes a while to grow and offers protection to insects and other organisms there.

These oval beads measure 5-6mm in width and are 9-10mm long.  They have holes that are approximately 2.5mm. Handmade by me in my home studio.  Please note, the epoxy resin used to make these beads is a plastic that has great clarity and strength, but it won't resist heavy duty wear - the surface may become scratched.

The 5 pence (British) coin and biro pen shown in the photos are for scale, they're not included with the beads.
