100 grams (3.5oz) Shearling Corriedale wool top. Corriedale wool is a lovely soft New Zealand wool with a mid length staple. This particular braid is shearling wool, which means it comes from the very first shearing of 1 year old sheep. Shearling wool is generally softer and finer than wool from older sheep, and that's certainly the case with this fibre. The wool is soft and cuddly, while retaining Corriedale's usual light crimp and easy-to-spin nature. It felts well too. This fibre was dyed with random mixtures and applications of colour, so the colourway is unrepeatable and unique.
