Resin Support Spindle - Purple 2

This little spindle is ideally suited to spinning fine yarns.  The whorl is cast from layers of subtly different shades of purple and blue resin, with a sprinkling of pearl mica powder.  The whorl has been shaped and balanced on a lathe to make a spindle that spins very smoothly.  The 4mm shaft is made from carbon fibre, which is strong yet slightly flexible, and has been hand shaped to form points at either end.  The total weight of the spindle is 20g.  Whorl diameter is approximately 4.8cm.  Shaft length is approx 27cm.

The resin used for the spindle whorl contains a UV protectant, however for longest life without colour changes, we recommend that you store your spindle away from direct sunlight.

This spindle is supplied with a robust custom-made shipping container, which also acts as a handy carrying case for later.
