We specialise in Ryeland and crossbred Ryeland sheep. The Ryeland is one of the oldest breeds in the UK, with origins dating back to the 13th Century. They're a slow-maturing, compact sheep who favour the mixed pastures and hedgerows that we provide for them, selecting a wide variety of plants to eat, not just grass. All of which gives the meat added flavour.

We focus on producing meat from 2-3 year old animals who've had a chance to grow slowly – giving the meat a superb flavour and texture.

Our sheep are raised entirely outdoors, and fed only on grass pasture (supplemented by our own hay in the winter).

Minimal chemical inputs, we don't medicate, spray or dip the animals unless it's absolutely necessary for their wellbeing.

Wintering outdoors results in meat with less fat. The sheep are finished on spring grass for sweetness and contented animals.
